What are we about?
We are a new service that offers a revolutionary new recruitment and review system for the Veterinary profession. Yakkly aims to be a one stop shop for the Veterinary world and our goal is to help people within our profession make better choices about jobs, products, services and all other items related to the Veterinary world.
We were born out of the need for change in the Veterinary recruitment field. For too long, we have been served by generic job boards and recruitment agents that have adopted the same, non – innovative approach over many years, not keeping pace with the changing needs of the Veterinary profession. The Veterinary profession has changed significantly over the last 30 years. No longer do Vets graduate into a “one size fits all job”. The profession has fragmented into many fields, specialisations and sub-specialisations. Different roles require different skill sets. Even general practice is seeing Vets sub specialise and seek out certain niches within a practice. As a practising Veterinarian that has worked across the entire spectrum of the Veterinary profession, I have identified the need to create a more calibrated approach to Veterinary recruitment to cater for these changes. Yakkly has developed a unique matching algorithm that aims to match your skillset and what you are looking for in a role with a job that is looking for a similar skillset, or is offering the kind of work you want to be doing. We are essentially the Tinder of the Vet world!
Yakkly’s innovative matching algorithm is designed to save you time and get you to where you need to be more precisely, and more efficiently. Forget the generic high end filters of current recruiters, these still leave you needing to scroll through volumes of ads. You dont have time for this. You need to be served only the most relevant jobs (or applicants), every time!
Not only do we offer a revolutionary new matching recruitment system, we also are making recruitment far more transparent! With the ability for employees and employers to review each other, we aim to level the playing field and make recruitment a fairer and more transparent process. Job seekers deserve to know what sort of workplace they are potentially going to work for and conversely, employers deserve to know what sort of potential employee is applying for their job. Both parties deserve the best and the review functionality will enable both parties to make better choices.
Yakkly does so much more than recruitment though. In addition to revolutionising the recruitment space, Yakkly is aiming to centralise the opinions of people in our profession into one, easy to use interface by offering a review system on products, services and items relevant to the Veterinary world. The collective experiences of your colleagues will help you make a better choice about products, services and items relevant to you. We also offer a continuing education forum, a marketplace to sell used items and a general forum to discuss Veterinary related matters,
